Sunday Five Precepts Photo; A gift of Dhamma conquers all gifts

  1. It’s interesting what a big deal was made of the first monks who brought the precepts to Korea, (circa 600~ C.E.). People considered the precepts a huge deal, and regarded the ones who taught them as sort of an ancient Johnny Appleseed, someone who brought blessings to all the land. People seemed to be pretty sensitive to the fact that the precepts were a way to help ensure a happy life, and keeping them was something that really brought a lot of hope to one’s life.
